Hensley's Flying Elephant

We went north to meet up with Matt Barlow, a Galyans alum, at Hensley's Flying Elephant and have a few beers. He had a great time and the band was awesome. It was some kind of Irish Folk band that made for some touching moments. Our drive home was a little shaky.

Big winners!

Earlier today we went to the Barona Casino with Kenny Rogers as their spokesperson. We pretty much stayed with the slots. We started loosing money fast, a $20 here and a $20 there. Gabe would hit a lucky slot that kept us above water for a while. We played a few different machines and Gabe started winning again. I made him cash out when we were getting our money back. Then, we said what the hell and moved to the lucky seven $1 slots. I played and he played. I would win and lose, and win a little and loose a lot. Gabe on the other hand was winning lots. He actually had two huge chances to win big, but was betting the wrong amout to win. We came out of the place with the money we spent plus $20 with Gabe's good Renfro luck.

I get my chance to see the ocean... YES. I put my feet in the water and tasted a little salty goodness. We walked down the beach and see this boy -- not moving. He just layed there and peddled his arms going, "Weeeeee" in chineese. To say the least, this made our day.

We we're wating outside the tobacco store till it opened after walking around Old Town. The doors opened up, Gabe said, "Here comes the Indian (wooden indian.) I expected to see an old guy wheeling out this wooden indian, and a guy with a red kilt comes out so matter-of-fact -- Gabe turns and smiles and I about loose it. Very cool shop by the way.

You Wanna See the Parrot Do a 180?

I gave Gabe $2 to go give this guy so I can take a photo. After taking the photo of Gabe and the bird, he asked, "Do you want to see him ride the skateboard?" "Yeah!" So he put the bird on the skate board and gave him a push. He then asked, "Do you want to see him do a 180?" And he kicked it with him spinning and hanging on -- we died laughing.
