The Sound of the Ocean – Panama City Beach

We set out a laptop on the balcony to record the sound of the ocean for as long as the battery would last. This is to help remember and prolong the vacation as much as possible.

Boiled Peanuts

This is the place we stopped on the way down to PCB and on the way back for the boiled peanuts. It's was a very interesting experience. The man had a large kettle warming them on a propane burner out front.

Departing from Panama City Beach

It was a beautiful morning. To leave this place was a crime. Back on the road trying to capture the memories of the all the sights, scents and sounds that we are now leaving behind. 12 plus hours on the road, everyone was irritable – not really wanting to leave.

Asked the sister-in-law to get a bag of ice for the cooler – she brought back a cup of ice.

Picked up more of those damn boiled peanuts at the same place we stopped before and my son decides he wants to take a 30 minute crap in the scary looking section of the building – it was behind those plastic meat locker curtains.

Half way through our journey my son gets car sick, takes some pepto, vomits in a CLEAR plastic bag, yes the puke was pink, and it reeked! He took it like a man, wiped his mouth clean, and wanted more boiled peanuts.

It was a fun trip overall. Looking forward to next year.

Soaking It All In

It was a beautify sunset. Actually the best one we had on the entire trip. Everyone was a little sun burned but happy to have been out all day.

Let's Take Some Pictures

We got some sun and got our happy selves back from beyond the cloudy days. The kids have their red cheeks, my wife is brown and I'm a darker shade of pink.

Last Full Day On The Beach.

It was our last full day for the beach – a beautiful bright sunny day. The double red flags were still waving in the breeze, with strong surf and undertows, the beach security was constantly shouting, "Stay out of the water – the water is closed." It was totally understandable. A couple day's without the beach and the natives get restless. They even carry around their own inflatable safety device. And yes, that is a father and son practicing their karate. Where is Mr. Miyagi when you need him?

A Few Gloomy Day's at PCB

The sister-in-law was bummed that the sun wasn't coming out that day. We had double red flags, no sun and fog right up to the beach. What a gloomy day.
